Middle District of Florida

The Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Florida has offices in Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, and Tampa. Donna Lee Elm is the Federal Defender, appointed by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Florida is to provide high quality, client-centered representation to indigent defendants.

Goals
In achieving the mission of the office, the office has four goals:

bulletTo provide quality legal representation.
bulletTo assure every client of the total commitment of the organization to the importance of the client and of the client's legal matters.
bulletTo advance the effectiveness of the federal legal system through excellence in legal scholarship and through ongoing education and training of the indigent defense bar.
bulletTo support and assist the courts in the administration of justice.
