Adam B. Allen has practiced criminal defense since being admitted to the Florida Bar in April 1994. He has served as an Assistant Federal Defender for the Middle District of Florida since April 2000, where he has worked as an Assistant Federal Defender, a Supervising Assistant Federal Defender, a Branch Chief, and a Trial Attorney Supervisor. He currently serves as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Tampa Division. Mr. Allen has represented several high-profile clients, has extensive white collar experience, and has co-authored an article in the NACDL Champion inspired by one of his cases. Previously, he was an associate with the law firm of Sheppard, White, & Thomas, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida where he represented clients charged with state and federal criminal offenses at the trial, appellate, and collateral appeal stages of representation. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Tulane University in 1990 and received his Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the University of Florida College of Law in 1993. While attending the University of Florida College of Law he was a member of the University of Florida Trial Team where he received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, the Unsung Hero Award, and the Order of the Barristers Award. He is admitted to practice in the Middle District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
