Juliann Welch is a Research and Writing Attorney in the Appellate Division of the Federal Defender's Office, MDFL. She joined the office in 2017 and has worked extensively on litigation to reduce the sentences of drug offenders, including numerous defendants previously serving Life in prison. Ms. Welch graduated from Stetson University College of Law with Honors, having earned a J.D. and Concentration in Social Justice Advocacy. During law school, she was a member of the Law Review editorial board and the Honors Program, and was named recipient of the Public Interest Award and the Pro Bono Service Award. Ms. Welch graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a Bachelor's Degree and a Performer's Certificate in 2006 and attended graduate school at Rice University.
