Nicole Mouakar is the Division Supervisor in Orlando for the Office of the Federal Defender, MDFL. She joined the Office of the Federal Defender in 2016 and has represented a multitude of clients charged with fraud, large-scale narcotics crimes, immigration offenses, firearms, and child pornography offenses. Before joining the office, Ms. Mouakar served as a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia M. Hernandez Covington, U.S. District Court Judge, MDFL. She began her legal career on active duty for the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps, where she prosecuted and defended cases. Ms. Mouakar actively serves in the U.S. Air Force Reserve where she is currently assigned as the legal advisor to the Joint Base Commander of the largest installation in the Department of Defense.
