Shehnoor K. Grewal obtained her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from the University of Utah, placing on the Dean's List all six semesters she attended. Shehnoor later obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College and her Master's in International Affairs and Global Enterprise. While in law school, Shehnoor achieved the Outstanding Achievement Award in International Law, was a semi-finalist in the Traynor Moot Court competition, participated in the Global Justice think thank, coordinated the India/S.J. Quinney College of Law Mediation collaboration, was a teaching assistant for the law school's Counterterrorism Simulation Design, and was president of the Minority Law Caucus.
Shehnoor represented men and women on Florida's death row with the Capital Habeas Unit in the Northern District of Florida's Federal Defender Office. She joined the Middle District of Florida's Federal Defender Office in 2019. Shehnoor also represented indigent clients in Utah's federal district courts and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
